🌱 Cultivation Tips
✅ 1. Light
Needs bright, indirect sunlight.
Ideal location: near an east or south-facing window.
Leaves should be light green.
Dark green = too little light
Yellowish = too much light
You can use grow lights if natural light is insufficient.
✅ 2. Temperature & Humidity
Daytime: 20-30°C (68-86°F)
Nighttime: 15-18°C (59-65°F)
Needs a drop of 5-10°C at night to trigger blooming.
Humidity: 50-70%
Use a humidity tray or humidifier indoors.
✅ 3. Watering
Water when potting medium is nearly dry (about every 5-7 days)
Increase frequency in hot or dry conditions
Use rainwater or distilled water if tap water is hard
Avoid standing water to prevent root rot
✅ 4. Potting & Medium
Use a well-draining mix: medium bark, charcoal, perlite, or sphagnum moss
Repot every 2-3 years or when medium breaks down
Best repotted after blooming or at the start of new growth
✅ 5. Fertilizer
Use balanced orchid fertilizer (e.g. 20-20-20)
Apply every 2 weeks during active growth (spring/summer)
Dilute to half strength
Flush with plain water monthly to prevent salt buildup
✅ 6. Air Circulation
Ensure good airflow to prevent fungus or rot
Consider a small fan for indoor growing
✅ 7. Blooming Tips
Typically bloom once or twice a year
Minimize movement when buds are forming
After blooming, remove spent spikes and reduce watering slightly
